Inspired by: The Death of Marat (1793) by Jacques-Louis David.
It is one of the most famous paintings of the French Revolution, the assassination of journalist Jean-Paul Marat on the 13th of July 1793 by Charlotte Corday. She blamed Marat for the September Massacres and claimed "I killed one man to save 100,000."
