But remember: there is only one of each doll. The dolls you see in this blog are unique originals.

Since 2009, I have been immersed in the world of Temori Dolls, a project that continues to occupy my time.
Through my work, I aim to explore the intersection of traditional fabric patterns and sawing crafts of different cultures, with contemporary art, using the medium of dolls and soft sculpture as a vehicle for storytelling and cultural exchange.

My journey with Temori Dolls has taken me across continents, with exhibitions in galleries in diverse cultural landscapes such as South Korea, South Africa, Serbia,Thailand and Japan. Each exhibition has been a unique opportunity to share the stories woven into these dolls, connecting people from different backgrounds through shared experiences and emotions.

I am sure my works make no sense to the audience that has no prior knowledge of global art and contempory culture, however it delights me when children become interested in my work.
My audience consists of those who have cultivated contemplation and self- investigation and who find intellectual satisfaction in the associations and the metaphor.

Through my art, I strive to challenge preconceived notions of identity and belonging, inviting viewers to engage with the dolls on a personal and introspective level. Whether it's through exhibitions, articles, or publications, I aim to spark conversations about the significance of a rapidly changing world.

The art that doesn't interest me exclusively is high art. For me, the field of inter-genre action is much more interesting, what would broadly belong to visual culture rather than fine art, what is on the border areas of media. I have always been interested in events rather than documents of those events, and that's why in my work I am inspired by their narratives more than authenticity. The Temori Dolls project is not merely about creating aesthetically pleasing objects; it is a reflection of my deep-rooted passion for creation in general. Inspired by traditional doll-making techniques from various cultures, each Temori Doll is a testament to intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail that defines our collective heritage.

I love art that is phenomenological in a sense. By that, I mean something that acts primarily through its appearance but allows for and invites new, other meanings to be read into it.
